National lockdown update

By 06 Nov 20December 4th, 2020No Comments
Golf courses in England have closed at 00:01am on Thursday 5th November 2020.

Further to the announcement from the National Government on Saturday 31st October, you should be aware that we have been working closely with the All Party Parliamentary Group for Golf and in reaction to a nationwide petition to keep golf open. Unfortunately, on the 4 Nov, the APPGG confirmed that “there is now no more that can be done to persuade government to alter its position.”

As a result all previously authorised Army, Corps or Regional events have been cancelled and the organisers should look to reschedule for after the 2 Dec deadline, where this can be achieved. The new date should be sent to the Sec AGA who will seek approval from the ASCB – no further documentation will be required unless the venue changes, in which case a new AI and RA, along with a Venue RA, will need to be submitted in the normal way.

Further information can be sought from the Sec AGA on s.davis@ascb.uk.com.
