Yesterday, Wed 28 May 35, saw 36 players tee it up at Test Valley GC for the High Handicap Championship 25. An early start kicked off the first 18 holes, followed by a well-earned lunch, before heading back out for another 18, making it a full 36-hole day!
The morning brought challenging conditions with strong winds, but the sun made a welcome appearance in the afternoon, brightening both the skies and spirits.
Winner: WO2 Matthew Stamp REME — 81 pts
Runner-Up: Capt Freya Bowen RE — 79 pts
Third: Sgt Alex Kelly RLC — 77 pts
Massive thanks to the brilliant Test Valley GC staff for looking after us, the club members for letting us run riot on their course, our sponsors and supporters for keeping the whole thing going, and every single player who showed up, some from as far as Newcastle! For a few, it was their very first comp and they absolutely smashed it.
